The welding program at Lewis and Clark Community College, Godfrey, Ill., hasn’t always been at the forefront of educational technology. In 2012, after more than two decades in dormancy, the welding program was revived and designated to a 4000-sq-ft maintenance building that was quickly outgrown by the burgeoning student interest in the program. The limited space also meant the program had to stick to traditional welding education tools. All of that changed in 2018, when the program received a $3.25 million donation..
