Q: We have recently started brazing tubing assemblies out of aluminum. We are joining 1100 aluminum alloy and are doing it by hand with torches using propane. We did some work online to determine the best way to do this and are using an Al 718 brazing rod and a flux we are told is noncorrosive. We apply the flux manually.

It took a while to get the proper pressures on the torch and to develop the correct technique for heating these joints. We are getting leak-fre..
