Build on foundational eddy current testing knowledge with training focused on surface scanning applications. Designed for Level II technicians, this course includes aerospace and general industry examples and aligns with SNT-TC-1A, CP-189, and NAS-410 training requirements.
This course provides additional reinforcement and expansion of the fundamentals covered in the Level I course, with a focus on various surface scanning applications relevant to the aerospace industry. While many of the application examples are specific to aerospace and general surface scanning markets, the content is not limited to aerospace alone—it also addresses applications used across other industries. Designed to meet the required training topics for Level II eddy current technicians, the course aligns with training recommendations established by various codes, standards, and recommended practices. It includes lesson summaries and glossaries to support student learning and aid in the successful completion of eddy current qualification exams. A training certificate is issued upon successful course completion. Additional reading references are either recommended or required to further supplement the course content.
NOTE: There is a course specific manual provided at beginning of the course. The use of this manual in addition to self-study is strongly encouraged and will add to the overall training benefit and time to be credited. It will also better prepare the student for the practical lab/’hands-on” session. It is recommended that the student a log of the self-study time. It is also recommended that the applicable Level III be involved and confirm that the reading and self-study assignments have been completed. This should become a part of the student’s training records which may be used in conjunction with subsequent certifications.
